“Responsibility is your ability to respond!"

We all have injuries or set-backs at different stages of our life that impact on our daily lives. It is our ability to respond to these situations to ensure we can bounce back and get the best possible outcomes and help you achieve your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Physiotherapists diagnose and manage a broad range of conditions including acute and chronic injuries, functional conditions and orthopaedic injuries (pre and post operative). They can help people to manage chronic diseases, give lifestyle advice, prescribe exercises and aids to help people manage their condition better. We use a combination of exercises, manual therapy, dry needling, cupping, exercise and education to improve movement, reduce pain and stiffness, speed up the healing process and increase quality of life.

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are allied-health professionals that have completed a 4 year university degree and are accredited with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA). They also have a Medicare Provider numbers and are trained members of the health care and medical sector. Exercise Physiologists specialise in exercise therapy and lifestyle interventions for persons at risk of developing, or with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries. There is also a strong focus on behavioural change and self-management concepts.

Generally our appointments are 30 minutes. For complex conditions or if you have more than one area of the body that needs treatment, you may need to book a long consultation that will be approximately 60 minutes. Our Exercise Physiologists also offer long (60 minute) appointments for NDIS clients.

In short, NO. Anyone is welcome to make an appointment with our Physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologists. All patients under Medicare, Workers Compensation and CTP claims will need a referral/approval prior to attending their initial consultation to be covered by their insurer or rebate is applicable. Please bring any documentation with you to your first appointment.

If this is your first appointment, please bring any referral letters, post-operative reports of scans along. Please also remember to bring your private health insurance card so we can process your rebate at the time of your appointment.

If you are coming to us with a Workers’ Compensation or Compulsory Third Party claim please bring any relevant documentation from your insurer (eg. Claim number, approvals).

Both Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology require you to be able to exercise and move freely. We recommend you wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment. Clothing that is easy to move in and allows the therapist to access the area of the body being treated is preferred.

Rebates can be claimed for both Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology services from most health funds, depending on your level of cover. We have a HICAPS terminal where you are able to claim your rebate on the spot and then pay the gap that remains. Please bring your private health insurance card to make use of this service.

If your GP has referred you on a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan which was previously known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC), you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on up to 5 sessions per year. If you are on this plan, please note that payment for the appointment is required in full and then the rebate from Medicare can be processed if you have all the required documentation.
